Sefe Emokpae, a reporter at WHSV's sister station, Newsplex, tried out the "Lemonade Diet," also known as the "Master Cleanse." It promises to flush out harmful toxins and cause weight loss of 10 to 15 pounds after just 10 days.It's a simple diet to follow and uses only four ingredients: water, lemons, cayenne pepper and maple syrup. After you make the lemonade, that's all you ingest at least six times per day."It's not bad, maybe a little too much pepper," said Emokpae as she tried her first glass of lemonade.A dietitian explained it's not the best diet to follow."The benefits of the lemonade diet are pretty much unsubstantiated. There's pretty much no really good science behind it. Anything where you're not eating any real food is not good for your body.
